Schuyler Miller described the stories as &#8220;space opera of the old, raw, gloves-off school [including] every cliche of the period,&#8221; concluding &#8220;Hawk Carse was so bad that he was almost good.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everett F.
