This band includes Gelt, played by Robert Vaughn essentially reprises his role from\u00c2\u00a0<em>The Magnificent Seven<\/em>, and George Peppard as a space cowboy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The special effects were designed by James Cameron (<em>Aliens<\/em>, <em>Avatar<\/em>), and reused in several other Roger Corman works (<em>Space Raiders<\/em>, <em>Starquest II<\/em>, <em>Dead Space<\/em>, and <em>Forbidden World<\/em> to name a few).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The Smoking Gun<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Battle Beyond the Stars was literally written as <em>The Magnificent Seven<\/em> in Spaaace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The farmers of the peaceful planet Akir, are threatened by the space tyrant Sador.
