Capt. William “Buck” Rogers is a space cowboy who is accidentally time-warped from 1987 to 2491. Earth is engaged in interplanetary war following a global holocaust, and Buck’s piloting skills make him an ideal starfighter recruit for the Earth Defense Directorate, where his closest colleagues are Dr. Huer, squadron leader Col. Wilma Deering, the wise-cracking robot Twiki, and a portable computer-brain named Dr. Theopolis.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century is an American science fiction adventure television series produced by Universal Studios, based on Philip Knowlan’s character. The series ran for two seasons between September 1979 and April 1981, and the feature-length pilot episode for the series was released as a theatrical film before the series aired.
